Prodily

Free 90-Lesson PM Curriculum with Skill Analytics & Portfolio Artifacts

The Problem

PM education is fragmented. Most aspiring product managers learn by stitching together blog posts, outdated courses, and advice from people who learned the same way — no structure, no feedback, no path — while bootcamps cost thousands of dollars and are often inaccessible.

Why I Built It

I saw too many people trying to build product judgment by assembling a patchwork of blog posts and expensive courses. I built Prodily to create a structured, free path from first principles to portfolio-ready work — one that measures progress honestly and produces artifacts you can actually share.

The Solution

Built a free, structured curriculum that sequences learning from product vocabulary and thinking through discovery, PRDs, roadmaps, strategy, leadership, and career-ready capstones. Interactive lessons, quizzes, flashcards, and assignments are paired with 7-competency skill tracking and public portfolio artifacts.

Architecture & Pipeline Design

6-Stage Curriculum Path: Beginner → Foundation → Execution → Strategy → Leadership → Career Ready, each stage unlocking the next
9 Modules & 90 Lessons: sequenced modules covering product thinking, discovery, PRDs, prioritization, design & UX, metrics, technical fluency, stakeholders, and capstones
Learning Formats Engine: interactive lessons, spaced-repetition flashcards, quizzes, assignments, case studies, and portfolio projects
7-Competency Skill Analytics: progress grounded in completed lessons, quiz scores, and assignment submissions — not self-reporting
Portfolio Artifact System: public, shareable outputs — PRDs, roadmaps, case studies, and strategy docs — viewable without login

Key Engineering & Product Challenges

Designing a curriculum that sequences naturally from first principles to career-ready without depending on fragmented external content
Keeping the entire core path free while building the interactive infrastructure — quizzes, flashcards, and skill analytics — that makes learning structured
Grounding competency-based skill tracking in verifiable signals (lessons, quizzes, assignments) so progress reflects real work

Key Trade-Offs & Design Decisions

Chose a structured, sequenced curriculum over a curated link list — a path that builds on itself
Kept the core curriculum 100% free forever with no paywalled lessons
Tracked skills from completed lessons, quiz scores, and assignment submissions rather than self-reporting
Made portfolio artifacts shareable public links, viewable with no login required
